  • Very Good Therapist features mental health therapists practicing in Austin, TX. We want to make it easy for you to find a therapist who is inclusive, identity-affirming, and takes a trauma-informed approach. We are anti-oppression and consider the impact of the environments and systems in which we and our clients exist.

Please note that we are not crisis counselors. Visit our Resources tab for information about options if you or someone you know are in a crisis.

  • Each therapist operates independently, and information about their practice including rates is available on their website. If you see someone who looks like they could be a good fit for you, click the “Website” button under their profile to be taken to their website or Psychology Today page.

  • Our therapists are currently private pay only. You can follow up with a provider to see if they have sliding scale options available. Providers may be able to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance, however, it is up to your insurance whether they will reimburse you.

  • Each therapist has their email address in the “About Me” section beneath their photo. You can also visit their website or Psychology Today profile to learn more and find additional contact information.

  • If you’re not in Austin, we may be able to work with you online using HIPAA compliant video software as long as you are located in the state of Texas when our sessions take place.
